As well as the auction, all nine CarShop and The Car People stores now use Manheim’s Seller Advance tool, which provides accurate part-exchange valuations and appraisals supporting a convenient and transparent process for customers.

James Dunkley, commercial director – Sytner Car Supermarket Division, said: “We began working with Manheim in 1999, and over the years we’ve seen our partnership go from strength to strength. I’m delighted that we’ll continue to dispose of the majority of our vehicles through Manheim for a further two years, as well as gaining the benefits of the Seller Advance system across all our sites.”

James Leese, Manheim’s group sales director, added: “At Manheim we pride ourselves on building long-lasting partnerships that deliver great business results for our customers. We’ve developed a strong working relationship with CarShop and the Sytner Car Supermarket Division over the last 20 years, and I’m proud to continue working with them at such an exciting time for the business.

“The first auction at Leeds achieved extremely strong results, and I’m sure it will prove a great addition to the Sytner Car Supermarket Division’s existing auction programme. I’m also delighted that The Car People stores, as well as CarShop stores, are now using our award-winning vehicle appraisal and valuation tool to support what is a very important part of the customer buying cycle.”

Earlier this month, Manheim entered a two-year contract with Endeavour Automotive.

The London-based Hyundai and Volvo car dealers Endeavour Automotive launched its auction programme on 16 January, offering approximately 40 vehicles each week to Manheim buyers at its Wimbledon centre.

The dealer group will also benefit from Manheim’s ‘Seller Advance’ system, which provides part-exchange valuations direct to forecourts, alongside cash advances to aid working capital and business growth.
