Fleet software company Jaama has
developed its Electronic Driver Services (EDS) for grey fleet
drivers.
Version two of the system enables
employees to upload duty-of-care documentation such as insurance
details, proof of vehicle servicing and MOT certificates. It
already allowed grey fleet drivers to submit business mileage
expense claims online.
Fleet managers are now notified
about drivers who fail to provide the required documentation.
Jaama sales director Martin Evans
said: “The up-to-date recording of driver and vehicle documentation
is essential if organisations are to have a complete occupational
road risk management audit trail of grey fleet drivers.
“The new version of EDS puts the
onus firmly on the drivers to provide the required information on a
scheduled basis.
“A failure to do so will generate a
series of regular reminders and could put employees in breach of
their contract of employment.”

By GlobalDataThe risk management and driver
information tool, first launched last year, is part of Jaama’s Key2
Vehicle Management system.
The new version of EDS was
developed as a result of customer feedback.
Key2 Vehicle Management is used to
create a risk profile of company vehicle drivers, providing
employers with an audit trail for at work driving duty-of-care
compliance.
The new EDS module can be accessed through an organisation’s own
intranet site, and be directly linked to company software systems
for HR and accounts.
