Commercial vehicle rental company Sixt van & truck has forged a strategic partnership with Geotab to improve fleet management and customer service across its UK operations.
The collaboration will result in the integration of Geotab’s telematics technology into Sixt van & truck’s fleet of 6,500 vehicles over the next 12 months.

The partnership aims to enhance the company’s fleet operations by enabling predictive maintenance and streamlining service, maintenance, and repair (SMR) processes.
With Geotab’s telematics solutions, Sixt van & truck will use precise mileage tracking and vehicle data to ensure compliance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) contracts.
The long-term partnership follows a successful pilot in which Sixt recovered two stolen vehicles.

The integration of Geotab’s technology is expected to simplify traditionally complex bulk purchasing agreements and vehicle leasing contracts.
Predictive maintenance will also help the company identify and resolve potential vehicle issues early, reducing the risk of breakdowns and lowering maintenance costs.
With Geotab’s real-time data analysis, Sixt van & truck can schedule maintenance optimally, to ensure maximum vehicle availability and extend the lifespan of fleet vehicles.
