Northern Ireland-based auto dealer Shelbourne Motors has appointed Sean McCormick as the new aftersales manager.

In the new role, McCormick will oversee Shelbourne’s Renault, Kia, and Dacia franchises in Newry.

He brings 13 years of experience in the motor industry to the new role, including 12 years of experience in various managerial roles.

His journey began at the Renault and Dacia franchises, where he progressed to the role of service manager from customer relationship centre (CRC) adviser.

McCormick later moved to Jaguar Land Rover as aftersales manager, where he focused on improving operations and customer experience.

Shelbourne Motors chief operating officer Alan Thompson said: “We’re delighted to welcome Sean to the Shelbourne Motors team as aftersales manager.

Earlier this year, Shelbourne Motors completed an expansion project at its existing site in Armagh Road, Newry.

The expansion added office space to feature the company’s AutoSelect Used Car Supermarket and commercial vehicle brand Maxus.

Founded in 1973, Shelbourne Motors has more than 160 employees at its operations in Portadown and Newry.

The company represents franchises such as Dacia, Kia, Toyota, MAXUS, Nissan and Renault, and sells 5,000 new and used cars each year.

The company also offers services through its premium used car brand, Autoselect.
