By GlobalDataCommenting on his appointment, Quegan said: “I’m delighted to be taking over the position of Chair of the National Association of Motor Auctions and would like to thank Andrew Walker for the great work he has done over the last three years.
“I’ve been in the automotive industry for almost a decade and have been leading Manheim Auction Services for almost half of that time. I’m excited to use my industry knowledge and experience, alongside my absolute passion for the sector, to continue being the voice of UK motor auctions nationwide.
“This industry is dynamic and ever evolving, and NAMA seeks to represent motor auction companies, of all sizes. That’s why, as an organisation, we never sit still – wanting to continuously improve, proactively engaging in key issues, and setting clear best practice standards. I look forward to pushing the organisation forward and working closely with my peers to set the standards of motor auctions across the UK.”
NAMA, founded in 1969, is a key component of the Retail Motor Industry (RMI) and plays a significant role in the UK’s motor auction sector. Its members, who handle approximately 95% of vehicles wholesaled in the UK, not only auction motor vehicles both physically and online but also provide a range of remarketing services.
