Pendragon claims to have launched the UK’s first automotive click and collect service, after its profits increased by 36% in 2014.
The car dealers’ profits jumped to £60.2m last year, compared to £44.2m in 2013, while revenue reached £4bn.
The company aims to increase its profits further through its Evans Halshaw brand’s "Move Me Closer" click and collect service.
Evans Halshaw, owned by Pendragon Group, is a car retailer with 132 frachise points.
The click and collect service allows a potential buyer to reserve a vehicle directly from an electronic device and choose to have it physically delivered to the nearest Evan Halshaw store.
In order to reserve a car, the customer needs to pay a £200 reservation fee.

According to the company, consumers will be able to have one of the dealership’s 20,000 cars driven from one outlet to another, to take it for a test drive.
