NISSAN
The sales and marketing team of Nissan Motor GB has been restructured following the retirement of Kevin Butler as sales director at the end of April.

Jon Pollock replaces Butler as sales director with Barry Beeston, currently fleet sales director, taking Pollock’s role as corporate sales director.

Pollock began at Nissan in 1991, spending a decade with the brand until moving to Toyota where he held a string of sales and marketing positions before returning to Nissan in November 2012.

Beeston also joined Nissan in 1991, as a technical support controller, and held numerous roles in area and regional sales and operations before becoming national fleet operations manager in 2007, then fleet sales director in 2011.

MERCEDES-BENZ
Andrew Mallery will move from his position as commercial operations director to replace David George as marketing director at Mercedes-Benz Cars at the start of June.

Mallery will continue to have responsibility for Mercedes-Benz World, the visitors’ centre for fans of the brand in Brooklands, Surrey.

INFINITI
Infiniti, luxury marque of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, has appointed Steve Oliver as regional director for North Europe, covering the UK and the Netherlands. The appointment follows the internal move of Tony Lewis, the previous regional director.

Oliver has a background in customer service, sales, marketing and dealer networking across the continent, and has worked for Honda and Peugeot.

Oliver said the company was preparing itself for European growth and the brand was determined to become "a leading player within the premium sector".

BEN
Nigel Rothband has been appointed to the newly-created position of chief operating officer of automotive industry charity BEN, responsible for raising awareness of the charity and increasing the activities and services it offers.

Rothband’s background is in retail, having held positions at BHS, Arcadia Group, where he became retail director, and The Body Shop, where he was retail managing director, before becoming chief executive of charity Retail Trust.

AUDI
Nick Ratcliffe has been appointed head of marketing at Audi UK, replacing Dominc Chambers.

Ratcliffe’s duties involve marketing communications and digital, social, events and customer relationship management activities at both national and dealer level.

His previous roles include marketing director for BT Business and a variety of marketing communications, product management and operations positions at companies such as BMW, Citroën and Mercedes-Benz.

KIA
Kia Motors (UK) has appointed David Ovenden as sales director, responsible for the brand’s franchised retail network including consumer, fleet, new and used cars.

Ovenden will oversee a staff of 42 and report to Yaser Shabsogh, who was appointed as commercial director from the role of sales director at Kia in February. He will also report to the Kia board on the development of corporate strategy and growth.

Ovenden has more than two decades’ experience in motor finance, sales and aftersales, much of which was gained at the Volkswagen Group, including six years as head of operations at Škoda.

LEX AUTOLEASE
Fleet lessor Lex Autolease has appointed Fiona Hall, previously commercial director at Arval UK for five years, as leader of its broker and branded solutions division.

Hall also becomes part of Lex’s executive management team and will manage a 60-strong team overseeing 50,000 vehicles, Lex’s broker relationships and its white-label service offering to manufacturers including Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, Mitsubishi and Volvo.

MANHEIM
Nigel Fletcher has joined UK-based remarketer Manheim as group development director, leaving his position as a director at ALD Automotive.

Fletcher will be responsible for strategic business planning, products and service strategy, digital development and new business acquisitions, as well as providing strategic support in several of the company’s international markets.

Fletcher spent 14 years at ALD, the fleet arm of Société Générale, as deputy managing director and operations director, where he was a Manheim customer. He has previously held the position of operations director at Crown Vehicle Contracts and Swan National Leasing.

CBVC
UK independent fleet management service provider CBVC has appointed Kim Noble as director of customer service, as the company aims to increase its market presence. Noble joins following 20 years with Birmingham-based fleet lessor Leasedrive.
