Andrew Mallery will move from his position as commercial operations director to replace David George as marketing director at Mercedes-Benz Cars at the start of June.
Mallery will continue to hold responsibility for Mercedes-Benz World, the visitors’ centre for fans of the brand in Brooklands, Surrey.
Gary Savage, managing director at Mercedes-Benz Cars, praised Mallery’s work, particularly at Brooklands and in expanding the brand’s driving academy and thanked George, who joins one of the marque’s retail partners, whose "expertise has played a major role in the growth of Passenger Car sales".
Mallery said he was excited to switch positions during "the biggest roll-out of new products in our history" and while the brand continued to change the way it market its products and services.
Likewise, Marcus Breitschwerdt, president and chief executive of Mercedes-Benz UK, welcomed Mallery’s experience during a "transformational time for our Passenger Car business."
