The number of vehicles sold at vehicle remarketing company Manheim’s Bristol auction centre rose 24% for H1 2013, year-on-year, breaking the centre’s own sales record.
The auction centre broke its own monthly sales statistics four times during the first six months of the year, as Manheim continued to post year-on-year price rises for ex-fleet and part-exchange models.
Brett Henderson, general manager at the Bristol site, said: "Introducing vendors, such as Ridgeway, Silver Street (Marshall), BMW and Ford Thorne, has ensured a comprehensive mix of desirable vehicles, delivering a 20% increase in the number of registered buyers.
"We expect to see further growth over the second half of 2013, and are committed to ensuring customers receive the same level of quality as they are used to," he added.
As a result of the large sales increases, the centre has made 11 recruits and promotions, including recruiting Deborah Thomas to assistant general manager focused on service delivery and promoting Rob Gale and to assistant general manager of operations.
