Ignition, a Truro-based provider of vehicle and asset finance for UK SMEs, has announced the appointment of two new Business Development Managers as part of its expansion strategy.
The company, which finances a broad range of assets including plant, machinery, vehicles and business equipment, is aiming to grow its presence across the southwest and South Wales.

The new hires include Dan Liddeatt, who joins Ignition with extensive experience from his roles as National Sales Manager at Close Brothers and Group Business Development Manager with PMG Services Ltd. In his new position, Liddeatt will focus on generating business leads in Bristol and the surrounding areas. His role will involve supporting SMEs across various sectors, with an emphasis on asset finance. Additionally, he plans to leverage his experience to explore opportunities in waste management, recycling, and construction.
Liddeatt expressed enthusiasm about joining Ignition, noting the company’s commitment to a holistic approach to funding and delivering strong customer outcomes. “I’m thrilled to be stepping into this new role during such an exciting time here in the southwest,” he said. “Ignition’s emphasis on excellent customer outcomes was a pivotal factor in my decision to join the team.”
Dev Alexander also joins the team, bringing over 15 years of experience in relationship management within the banking sector. His previous roles include working with Welsh businesses at the Development Bank of Wales and supporting growth and development at NatWest. Alexander’s expertise in trading and agriculture management will be valuable as he focuses on supporting businesses in South Wales. He is also eager to build relationships with businesses in other sectors such as hospitality, engineering, and manufacturing.
