Hyundai Motor UK has rolled out a monthly subscription service for its line-up of hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric car models.

Labelled Mocean, subscriptions on the platform start from £339 per month, with the fee covering all motoring costs. Netflix-style subscription models are becoming increasingly popular in the car market as they offer a more flexible model of car ownership suited to changing circumstances.

For those that a traditional PCP or HP agreement simply doesn’t suit, or for those that want the simplicity of one monthly payment and the flexibility of a one-month cancellation period, Mocean delivers.

Mocean customers can pick from Hyundai’s range of electric vehicles, including a number of different crossovers, SUVs and superminis as well as fully electric models like the KONA Electric.

The service has been designed so customers can order a car entirely online and have it sent to them within days if they choose to. They can also pick it up at a Hyundai dealer. The monthly subscription fee covers insurance, roadside assistance, road tax, and maintenance and repairs at authorised Hyundai dealers.

The Mocean service will initially launch in Greater London this month but will be quickly rolled out to several other major UK cities throughout the year.
