The Herd Group has entered into a three-year agreement with Fleet Assist, adopting its comprehensive suite of service, maintenance, and repair (SMR) supply chain products and services. The partnership follows a detailed review by the Herd Group of its SMR needs for both small and large light commercial vehicle (LCV) rental and fleet management clients.
Fleet Assist, a key strategic partner for the Herd Group, will provide tailored services through the Brilliant Herd Connect platform. Fleet drivers will gain access to Fleet Assist’s network of 5,200 garages and over 500 mobile service providers, a phone and online service booking system, and support from its technical authorisation team.

Downtime management will be a primary focus, with Fleet Assist working to minimise off-road periods for Herd Group vehicles by coordinating closely with garages. Additionally, Herd Group will implement Fleet Assist’s Paybill service to consolidate all SMR bills into a single invoice, streamlining administrative processes.
The partnership also includes access to Fleet Assist’s Atlas Analytics tool, offering granular insights into the performance of the Herd Group’s fleet. Atlas allows users to benchmark their fleet against anonymised industry data and analyse individual service items to optimise fleet operations.
