Buy-to-let car provider WhipCar has published
a list of its most popular brands.
In London, home to a quarter of the cars
WhipCar has available for hire, Ford and Volkswagen tie as the
most-requested rental marques, each accounting for 11% of the
market. BMW is third on 8.6%, followed by Mercedes-Benz on
5.3%.

WhipCar has also pointed to differing
preferences in different parts of the capital, such as the
popularity of the Mini Cooper in south-west London and the Toyota
Yaris in north-west London.
After two years in business, WhipCar runs a
fleet of 19,000 cars available to customers who then rent the
vehicles out to others when possible, earning money back to offset
the cost of ownership.
