BVRLA’s New Year’s code
The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing
Association (BVRLA) is set to release a new code of conduct for
lenders in January.
The code will urge members of the BVRLA to
make clear and concise information available to customers, in line
with guidance from the Office of Fair Trading.
Particularly, the code will state that brokers
must declare their commission if asked. If, however, they are not
asked, they do not have to declare their commission.

models for business customers in the UK.
Prices for the MiTo start at £169 a month and
for the Giulietta at £199 a month, in both cases the diesel engine

of diesel engines compared to petrol.
Alfa Romeo new car registrations were down
37.53% year-on-year in September, to 1,227 units, and down 35.50%
year-to-date to 6,115 units.
The fleet share of the car parc fell from
47.1% in September 2011 to 45.0% in 2012 while the business share
fell from 6.2% of registrations to 5.7%. Year-to-date, the fleet
share of UK registrations stood at 49.6% and business at 4.5%, down
from 51.7% and 5.3%, respectively, for the same period last
year.
The diesel share of registrations for
September was 48.5%, down on the average so far for the year of
50.4%.
