Independent finance provider DSG Financial Services has appointed a head of compliance to help ease the implementation of the Financial Conduct Authority’s regulations among its dealer partners.
Mark Lloyd joins DSG FS from the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), the body previously responsible for consumer finance regulation, and previously held a compliance role at Trafford Council.

In that role Lloyd worked with local businesses to help them understand issues with trading standards and was also responsible for implementing a due diligence system and ensuring regulatory compliance among local businesses.
Richard Hoggart, managing director at DSG FS, said of Lloyd’s appointment: "He will oversee work with our staff, lenders and dealers to ensure we are at the forefront in implementing the new FCA directives and continue to develop a culture where positive customer outcomes are our priority."
