Opel has launched full-service fleet leasing in Germany under PSA’s Free2Move brand, marking a step-up in synergy between the German carmaker and its year-old French parent.
The full-service offering will initially be aimed at larger fleet customers, operating within a framework agreement. Opel said it will make the product available to all commercial customers and fleet operators by the beginning of next year.
Jürgen Keller, Opel executive director for sales, said: “Free2Move Lease is aimed at companies that want to operate their fleets economically, remain flexible and rely on modern, powerful and efficient vehicle models.”
The carmaker added it will rely intensively on its dealership network for maintenance and assistance to fleet customers. Opel/Vauxhall recently underwent a renegotiation drive with all its European dealerships.
“We are preparing Opel partners for the demands of the future and providing an important impetus for growth,” said Ludger Reffgen, head of full service leasing operations at Free2Move.
He added: “Our partners can now significantly intensify their fleet business. This means increased vehicle sales, more service revenue, more advantages in the used car market and greater customer loyalty.”
