British Car Auctions (BCA) has appointed James Hopkins as managing director for its Fleet Solutions division.
Starting November 27, Hopkins will replace Tony Booth, who will move on to manage BCA’s new de-fleet centre in Corby, dedicated to VW Group vehicles.
Hopkins was director at BCA Group Solutions prior to the appointment. He previously covered roles at Ford Credit Europe (then Ford Financial Europe), the Mazda group and LeasePlan.
Ian Carlisle, divisional chief executive officer of BCA Services, said: “We are delighted that James will be taking on this important role. His knowledge and understanding of BCA’s full value chain of automotive supply will be critical as we continue to develop intelligent, joined-up solutions for customers that utilise all of the BCA services across the automotive marketplace.
“His experience of multi-site high volume operations, business development, customer services and working in competitive industries will be invaluable, especially when supported by the strong team that already exists in Fleet solutions. We are looking forward to taking BCA Fleet Solutions on the next step of its journey.”
