Online used car retailer Cinch has announced plans to launch new retail stores across the UK.

Its first physical store opened on 22 July 2024 in Bedford Road, Northampton.

The company also plans to open stores in Birmingham, Bristol, and Manchester during July and August.

The new stores will feature a varied selection of used cars from its inventory of more than 5,000 vehicles.

The company claims to have sold more than 200,000 cars online so far.

Customers at a cinch store can view, interact with, and test drive cars, and receive assistance and guidance from the in-store team, known as the cinch Squad.

Launched in 2019, cinch stated that customers receive consistent pricing whether they buy in-store or remotely, eliminating the need for negotiation or pressure to buy on-site.

Additionally, all purchases come with a 14-day money-back guarantee and a complimentary 90-day warranty on every car.

The new stores are expected to expand the company’s customer support services after sales and maximise the efficiency of its digital platform, which is said to simplify the processes of purchasing, trading in, and financing vehicles.

Customers visiting the store to purchase a car will follow the same online process. Upon purchasing a car in-store, cinch offers delivery of the vehicle to the customer’s home or a nearby collection point.

Cinch chief customer officer Robert Bridge said: “We are now in our fourth successful year of growth in our online business – it is the perfect time to deliver an omnichannel experience and open our first physical stores to reach even more UK car buyers with our faff-free approach.

“Thousands of drivers across the UK have bought from us already using our fully online sales model, and now we are looking forward to meeting some of those existing customers in person and welcoming new customers through our doors for the first time.”
