Online used car sales platform Carzam has appointed Honchō to manage its paid media strategy, as the firm sets targets of 20,000 sales across 2021.
Carzam appointed Honchō on the basis of its proprietary SMARTFeed technology, which will enable Carzam to advertise stock, including vehicle specification, in real-time across search and social media.
Referring to Carzam as a “fellow digital disruptor”, Chris Ailey, chief executive of Honchō, said: “We are excited to be partnering with Carzam at the start of a journey which is already seeing them shake-up the way used cars are sold through the delivery of its game-changing e-commerce platform.”
With a focus on the automotive sector and existing clients such as Group 1 Automotive and Pentagon, Honchō is well placed to assist Carzam in achieving its growth targets across 2021 and beyond.
In January this year, Carzam announced it had delivered over 1,000 cars since its sales platform went live six weeks earlier, pulling the firm closer to an annual target of 20,000 sales for its first full year of business.
The online platform allows buyers to choose a car, finance it and arrange for home delivery all online.

By GlobalDataAshley Wade, Carzam’s chief marketing officer, said: “It is a pleasure to be working with Honchō moving forward. As companies I feel we are very aligned in our approach to technology, resulting in a more fulfilling experience for customers.
Offering next day turnaround on much of its stock, Wade believes the firm offers a “more superior end-to-end e-commerce experience” for consumers looking to purchase, sell or finance used cars online.
The introduction of digital-only models, such as Carzam, is a timely response to recent changes in consumer behaviour, accelerated by the pandemic.
Wade concluded: “In a sector as rapidly changing as used cars, data must be at the centre of everything we do. Honchō’s tools and services will allow us to provide our customers with a more enriched experience based on the exact make, model and spec of cars we have for sale.”
