Carwow has launched Carwow Collects, a service designed to protect dealers from financial loss through its Assured Scheme. Dealers can now request up to £25,000 coverage for vehicles requiring undisclosed mechanical or electrical repairs, or for losses incurred from clocking, cloning, theft, importation, or remapping.
Under the service, once a dealer’s offer for a vehicle at auction is accepted, a trained transport and appraisal agent will visit the seller to conduct thorough visual checks. The agent will provide real-time photos and, with the seller’s consent, perform a test drive. They will call the dealer to discuss any issues, potentially renegotiate the price with the seller, and complete the transaction before delivering the vehicle to the dealer’s chosen location.

Carwow Collects integrates with Carwow’s existing vehicle document collection service, offering dealers a broader selection of vehicles and reducing administrative burdens. Carwow will manage the handover of documentation and coordinate a convenient collection time, keeping the purchasing dealer informed throughout the process until the vehicle reaches its delivery destination.
Additionally, Carwow has updated its delivery address book system, allowing dealerships to register multiple locations. This feature simplifies sending stock to specific sites or directly to prep centres.
For dealers who opt not to use Carwow Collects but still seek purchase protection, Carwow’s BuySafe initiative remains available. This programme covers financial impacts from major mechanical or electrical issues discovered after purchase.

We already offer numerous safeguards for dealers, including pre-qualification of every vehicle that enters our auction, but this extended service now adds a game-changing layer of reassurance for dealers and helps to maintain profitability on vehicles, should there be certain undisclosed or unknown issues.”
