Britishvolt, a UK investor in battery technologies, has appointed Ray Macera as project director for the construction and implementation of the UK’s first battery gigaplant.

The gigaplant will produce lithium-ion battery technology for the automotive and renewable energy sectors. Macera joins Britishvolt with vast experience leading large-scale automotive projects, most recently, the Gestamp pressing facility that supplies Jaguar Land Rover’s Nitra plant in Slovakia.
