British Car Auctions (BCA) has opened a 70,000m remarketing centre in Denmark, which the remarketer claims is the largest such in Central and Northern Europe.
The launch witnessed a two-day auction, selling over 700 tax-free vehicles to 90 buyers in 14th countries, which took place on the 24 and 25 of September.
Future Danish auctions will feature up to 800 vehicles per auction, with targeted buyers including both Danish nationals and International European buyers.
The new centre is in Billund, near the German border, and BCA said the location was chosen due to its links to nearby motorway access and the adjacent Billund international airport.
BCA’s chief executive officer Jon Olsen said: "BCA will continue to develop and refine our best-in-class services for our customers – both buyers and sellers – to optimise efficiencies, reduce costs and improve value across the European marketplace. The wholesale used car market is changing in Europe and we are meeting that challenge by taking the best practice from the digital arena and blending it with our expertise in cross-border vehicle remarketing and pricing."
