Vehicle remarketing specialist Aston Barclay has appointed Gordon Inglis as its new chief revenue officer (CRO).
In this newly created role, Inglis will be tasked with the strategic generation of new business throughout the UK.
His responsibilities will encompass three principal areas: securing new vendor contracts, attracting new buyers, and forging new strategic partnerships for the Car Buying Group.
Gordon is joining Aston Barclay after spending the past four and a half years at Carwow, where he held the position of principal head of sales until recently.
Before joining Carwow, he spent eight years at BCA, focusing on growing the dealer business in the northern regions of the UK.
Aston Barclay executive chairman Greg MacLeod said: “Gordon’s expertise and leadership will attract additional volume to a business that continues to experience year-on-year volume growth.
“I am delighted with our new and enhanced leadership team. For top talent in UK remarketing, this is the place to be.”
This strategic hire comes closely on the heels of another significant appointment at Aston Barclay, with Eddie Thomson recently taking up the mantle of chief operating officer.
Gordon said: “I am delighted to be joining Aston Barclay. The business has an excellent and award-winning proposition and real potential for future growth. I am excited to be joining the team at this exciting stage of their journey, and I look forward to introducing the business to many new customers.
“With great service and a super competitive price, I really would encourage vendors and buyers to give Aston Barclay a try. I will be joining the team on 2 September.”
