Arval UK, a fleet management and vehicle leasing service provider, has announced the appointment of John Peters as its new Head of Consultancy.
In this role, Peters will oversee the company’s fleet and mobility consulting services across its UK customer base. Additionally, he will serve as the UK lead for the Arval Mobility Observatory, a global survey of fleet operators aimed at understanding current and future industry trends.

Peters brings extensive experience to his new position, having joined GE Capital Fleet Services in 2002. Following Arval’s acquisition of GE Capital Fleet Services in 2015, he held several key roles, most recently serving as Strategic Marketing Leader with a focus on mobility solutions.
As Head of Consultancy, Peters will lead a team of six specialist fleet and mobility consultants. This team is responsible for providing direct advice and support to Arval’s clients on a variety of issues, as well as developing new tools and guidance for broader use within the company.
Peters highlighted the growing complexities within the fleet sector and the importance of consultancy in helping clients navigate these challenges. “Fleet managers are facing an increasing range of responsibilities and challenges, often with less time to address them,” Peters said. “Our role is to help clients make sense of this complexity and guide them towards successful solutions.”
Peters replaces Shaun Sadlier, who retired in June after more than 20 years with Arval. Lakshmi Moorthy, Managing Director at Arval UK, expressed her confidence in Peters’s ability to lead the consultancy function, citing his extensive experience within both Arval and the wider fleet sector. Moorthy also extended thanks to Sadlier for his significant contributions to the company and wished him well in his retirement.
