Business mobility provider Alphabet (GB) has introduced a new digital self-service quote and order tool for SMEs in the UK.

The Alphabet Motion tool is designed to simplify and accelerate the vehicle leasing process for business users, the company said.

The platform allows SME customers, including sole traders and fleet managers, to research and configure car specifications, access tailored offers, and construct lease deals entirely online.

Users can also complete finance and identity checks and place vehicle orders without the need for direct sales consultations.

Accessible at any time, the tool enables users to browse a wide range of vehicle options using configurable filters before registering to finalise credit approvals and submit orders.

Alphabet notes that the tool has been built to remove friction from the leasing process while retaining the option to consult with sales representatives if required.

Alphabet (GB) chief sales officer Ian Turner said: “We understand that time is a valuable commodity, so having the technology that enables customers to expedite the quote and ordering process with the backing of the BMW Group, offers an unrivalled experience.

“Customers expect a seamless, hassle-free journey, and to have the ability to self-serve at any time. Our business quote and order tool provides that flexibility, which alleviates many of the challenges associated with fleet management and company car leasing in the SME sector.

“It’s been meticulously developed with the customer in mind at every touchpoint, while still offering the same opportunity to consult with an Alphabet sales team member, if needed.”

The tool is already in use among some of Alphabet’s corporate clients.

Alphabet (GB) process management and quality general manager Victoria Bovington said: “Our customers spoke, and we listened. The latest Alphabet quote and order tool has been built with customers’ needs at its core.

“We’ve invested in delivering a sophisticated, easy-to-use platform for this audience that puts the user in control and simplifies previously manual internal processes. It enables us to offer faster response times, personalised interactions and self-service options.”

Earlier this month, Alphabet (GB) named Jill Paton as its new head of marketing and external communications.
