Allianz Partners UK has secured a three-year extension as the roadside assistance provider for Volvo Car UK, continuing a partnership that began in 2010.

Under the renewed agreement, customers who purchase new or used Volvo cars or service their vehicles at a Volvo retailer will maintain access to Allianz’s roadside assistance services.

To support Volvo’s expansion in the electric vehicle market, Allianz has developed a premium service, incorporating the manufacturer’s diagnostic tool kit at the roadside and deploying specialist Volvo technicians as part of the assistance team.

Allianz will also allow customers to report breakdowns, either by phone or through the Allianz Assistance digital hub.

As part of the collaboration, the company will continue to deliver three key programmes, including the Service Activated Roadside Assistance (SARA) initiative.

This feature provides a year of roadside assistance protection for Volvo customers who service their vehicles at participating retailers.

Allianz Partners chief sales and distribution officer Marcus Latchford said: “Over the last 15 years, our roadside assistance services for Volvo have transformed from simple repair and recovery to a comprehensive, integrated offering.

“We collaborate closely with Volvo’s team to drive product and innovation development, enhancing the excellent customer service included in our traditional roadside assistance package. We work with Volvo to create a feedback loop on vehicle performance, which helps them understand the real-world issues customers are experiencing and feed that both into maintenance plans and vehicle development.”

Last year, Allianz Partners UK launched a new range of roadside assistance products to enhance the breakdown service offerings available to mobility providers, fleet owners, banks and insurers, ensuring comprehensive protection for motorists.
