The AA has announced a partnership with the Association of Green Funeral Directors (AGFD), offering its members exclusive access to specialist vehicle services aimed at supporting their sustainability efforts.

As an expert partner for the AGFD, The AA will provide discounted services, including roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, and repair solutions. The partnership is designed to help funeral service professionals maintain their fleets, which often include bespoke, high-end vehicles, ensuring minimal downtime and operational continuity.

Founded in 2009, the AGFD promotes eco-friendly funeral practices, helping consumers find providers that prioritise sustainability. The organisation advocates for greener options such as biodegradable coffins and natural burials in response to increasing demand for environmentally responsible end-of-life services.

Julian Ferguson, relationship manager at AGFD, welcomed the collaboration, highlighting the benefits for funeral directors managing specialist vehicles. “This partnership allows our members to enhance their services while upholding our core values of sustainability and responsible funeral care,” he said.

James Starling, director at AA Business Services, emphasised the AA’s commitment to reliable fleet support. “By partnering with AGFD, we can extend our expertise to funeral professionals who depend on dependable vehicle services to maintain the highest standards of care.”
