Modix, the digital marketing arm of Cox Automotive, has entered into a partnership with Toyota for its search marketing product AdBox.
Following a trial of the platform in 2018, Toyota has agreed to introduce the search product across its entire dealer network on an opt-out only basis.
Modix launched AdBox in October 2017 following customer demand for a search marketing tool at a local dealership level. The product enables dealers to create vehicle adverts that are displayed direct to customers searching for new and used vehicles across the Google network. With a live feed directly from the dealer’s stock management system, search results displayed to consumers are relevant and local to their search.

Last November Modix made two executive appointments. As head of retailer sales, Paul Flanagan will be responsible for building Modix’s dealer group relationships in the UK.
Flanagan has over 25 years’ experience in the automotive industry, and joins the Cox Automotive business from Renault where he was most recently managing director (UK and Europe North). Prior to Renault, he was president of Ford France.
Modix has also brought Jules Rastelli on board as head of OEM relationships. Rastelli joins following a senior level career in automotive digital, classifieds and communications.
