Willcox joins from Nissan where he held the role of senior vice president, sales and marketing, for Europe since June 2011. Willcox has worked in the motor industry for a number of years, having started his career at Peugeot GB.
Willcox will be based at the Group UK’s headquarters in Milton Keynes, near to where captive finance operation Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) has begun building a four-storey headquarters.
Globally, VW operating profit dropped 11.6% year-on-year according to its H1 2013 report, despite increasing deliveries and sales world wide and a 5% rise in pre-tax operating profit from VWFS.
