Ford Europe has made several key executive appointments in its European operations, including significant changes at Ford Britain.
Graham Hoare has been named executive director for business transformation at Ford Britain. Across the continent Ford are running a programme to achieve 6% EBIT titled ‘Sprint to 6 Reset & Redesign’, which Hoare will be leading in the UK.
Kevin Reynolds, executive director of strategy at Ford Europe, is retiring after more than four decades with the company, effective Dec. 31, 2018.
Steve Armstrong, group vice president and president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “Kevin has been central to driving the strategy of a number of key projects and changes we have implemented in our business in the past decade, including the spin-off of Jaguar Land Rover and the creation of some of our most successful joint ventures. We thank Kevin for his leadership, and we wish him all the best in his retirement.”
Gunnar Herrmann has been appointed executive director of business transformation for Ford Germany, also to lead the implementation of Sprint on a national scale. Armstrong said: Gunnar and Graham bring vast expertise to their new roles leading our reset and redesign plan in their respective countries. Working closely with the rest of the European leadership team, they will play a key role in creating a long-term sustainably profitable business for the benefit of our customers, employees, partners and communities.”
Hoare’s previous responsibilities as director for vehicle evaluation and verification at Ford Europe will be assumed by Andrew Brumley, currently chief engineer for vehicle evaluation and verification.

Quality now will report through to Caspar Dirk Hohage, who picks up responsibility for this skill team in addition to his existing responsibilities as vice president at sustainability, environment and safety engineering.
SMMT results for the month of November showed continued strength for the Ford marque in the UK car market, with the Fiesta model the best selling car for the year as a whole.
