Tusker launches online fuel savings calculator
Leasing and fleet management company Tusker has launched a new online fuel savings calculator for salary sacrifice drivers. Tusker, which specialises in car salary sacrifice schemes, said that the fuel savings calculator is available online via Fleetdesk, its fleet management platform, and is included as an additional service for drivers who have decided to select a car by sacrificing a proportion of their salary.
Fleet Support Group and Automotional sign partnership
Vehicle management company Fleet Support Group (FSG) has signed a partnership with Automotional, a risk management company. The tool can be used to determine the extent of drivers risk exposure, and suggest interventions to improve individual driver safety.

Infiniti has appointed Jean-Pierre Diernaz as new marketing director Diernaz, who takes over from Bastien Schupp, will be based in Geneva and will have responsibility for Europe, Russia and Middle East. He previously worked as general marketing manager with Nissan Europe, where he had been since 2005.

Mazda Motor Europe has appointed Simon Monks as international corporate sales manager. Monks has more than 12 years experience in fleet and after-sales business in the UK and across Europe, having worked with Nissan Motor GB and Brussels-based Toyota Motors Europe before joining Mazda. During his time at Toyota, he was European key account manager responsible for major leasing company business and end-user relationships.

Steve Paine has returned to British Car Auctions (BCA) Blackbushe centre to resume his position as sales manager, after a secondment to BCAs Birmingham centre. Paines returning role includes responsibility for further developing LCV sales at Blackbushe, which has a dedicated van sale every week. BCAs commercial sales general manager Duncan Ward said: “We are delighted to have Steve back at Blackbushe and fully committed to developing our LCV sales programme

Much of the consumer credit litigation brought against finance companies in recent times has been funded by conditional fee agreements no-win, no-fee agreements backed up by an after-the-event (ATE) insurance policy. Fleet managers should ensure they keep maintenance costs under control if they choose to extend vehicle replacement cycles, Jaama has warned. The fleet management software provider said that as the age of a vehicle increases “so do maintenance costs, particularly as company cars and vans emerge out of comprehensive manufacturer warranty cover”. To visually identify whether service, maintenance and repair (SMR) costs outweigh depreciation, Jaama has developed a function within its Key2 Vehicle Management System with a red and green forecasting graphic, the company said.
