BCA, which is the UK’s largest used vehicle marketplace, will expand its caravan and motorhome sale by doubling its capacity to meet current demand. The rise in the popularity of these vehicles has been prompted by international travel restrictions, driving British consumers towards staycations and holidays within the UK.
Stuart Pearson, COO of BCA UK said: “BCA are committed to delivering the widest choice of vehicles in the wholesale marketplace to our buyers. We are creating a seamless digital environment where our customers can easily and efficiently manage their stock search, bidding, buying and post-purchase needs via desktop, mobile or the BCA Buyer app 24/7.”
“We continue to enhance our wide ranging online sales programme which offers thousands of vehicles six days a week, representing the widest choice of cars, LCVs, leisure vehicles and motorcycles available through a variety of online channels that support all buying preferences.”
BCA made several changes to their services during lockdown, offering a Click and Collect service and extended trading hours at vehicle collection points. Reflecting on how the business had evolved over lockdown, Pearson said last year:
“Having the experience of successfully managing the significant challenges placed on the industry during the first lockdown stands us in good stead. BCA will continue to utilise the wider resources of the group to provide our customers with choice, scale and efficiencies to support their businesses during the weeks ahead.”
BCA stages the only regular programme of caravan and motorhome auctions anywhere in the UK. It held its first ever online-only sale just over a year ago before adding a second sale this month. Sales will now be held on the second and last Monday of every month going forward, with up to 100 vehicles offered on the day. The next sales will take place on 26th July and 9th August.
