Volvo has brought its UK remarketing in-house via a newly created Wholesale Used Car department.

It will now operate with dealers directly, rather than rely on British Car Auctions (BCA) as brokers.

The new department is being headed by Graeme Oswald, in the new position of Remarketing and Total Cost of Ownership manager.

The restructuring came with three additional appointments.

Natasha Berry, who was in charge of Volvo’s remarketing at BCA, was nominated Wholesale Used Car executive for the new department.

James Sion also joined in the same position as Berry. He previously worked as a remarketing specialist at FCA Bank.

As part of their role, Berry and Sion will be responsible for developing existing relations with the new car dealers.

Finally, Jack O’Callaghan was named used car analyst, having previously reported on used car financing at Volvo.

Matt Galvin, head of Retail Sales for Volvo Car UK, said: “Used cars and residual value management are a big focus for Volvo, and these changes will enable us to provide a more joined-up approach to our used car operations. This substantial investment underlines the importance Volvo places on remarketing our cars to our dealer network, and the role that plays in helping them put used cars at the heart of their business.”
