Nokia
The mobile phone firm Nokia has chosen a 72-strong fleet of
Fiat
500 superminis for a new promotional campaign.
The vehicles will be used by student “brand ambassadors” in 18
key cities, who are tasked with travelling to “streets, parks,
beaches and parties, to help the public unlock the full potential
from their [Nokia] phones”, Fiat said.
The fleet of 500s will be run on contract hire for between three
to six months, with finance arrangements made through Fiat
Group Automobiles Financial Services.
What Car? named the 500 its Green Supermini of the year
at its recent awards, and the model is in addition the Car of the
Year 2008. Fiat said Nokia had chosen the 500 as it fitted the
mobile phone manufacturer’s brief for “a great looking car that
fitted Nokia’s youthful brand image”.
Fiat
Auto Financial Services’ business finance manager David Joyce
said: “This business win is typical of the fleet interest being
shown in the Fiat 500 right now by companies large and small.

on the residual values front, with a typical retained value of
47 per cent after three years for the entry-level 500 1.2 Pop
variant.
