The managing director of GE Capital, Rich Green, has stepped
down from his role.

Green has been redeployed within GE, a spokesman confirmed, and
his role at GE Capital has been filled by John Jenkins.

The news comes as parent company GE prepares to downsize GE
Capital, which includes the GE Fleet division along with the
equipment finance and vendor finance units.

“GE Capital is committed to saving $2 billion [£1.4 billion] in
costs globally during 2009, which will include a combination of
both indirect costs/external spend and headcount reduction,” GE
said in a statement.
