Vehicle remarketing company G3 Remarketing plans to introduce an online bidding portal in mid-April.
The launch follows 18 months of positive reports regarding online car auctions, including records at BCA and Autorola and the launch of an interactive web service by fellow remarketer Manheim in February.
G3’s website will offer vendors the ability to communicate directly with the auctioneer, be able to view a portfolio of images and audio files relevant to vehicles and have access to a suite of tools during the live auctions. It will not require Java plug-ins, and will adapt to online platforms.
Auctions will run in concurrent lots, with each vehicle being offered online for around 30-40 seconds, and vendors will be able to monitor the percentage performance against industry guides.
