Motor finance broker Car Loan 4U has launched a smartphone app to keep customers up to date with important car maintenance tasks such as MOT, tax and insurance renewal.
Where applicable, the app, called CoDriver, will also offer access to the firm’s Finance Countdown Calculator to provide settlement figures for the finance taken on the user’s car and an opportunity to apply for another finance deal.

The app will also remind and guide drivers about tyre and brake checks, servicing, warranty and parking permits.
Ryan Dignan, co-director of Car Loan 4U, which specialises in web-led business, said the company had "been looking into developing an app for a while now, but we wanted an idea which would provide a really useful tool for our customers."
Dignan explained there was "plenty of scope" to develop the app next year, should it prove popular, and "we have lots of ideas for new features in the pipeline".
