Volkswagen Group UK is expanding its partnership with energy supplier OVO to provide additional benefits to company car and salary sacrifice customers.
Starting 1 January 2025, buyers of vehicles from Volkswagen Group brands, including Audi, CUPRA, Škoda, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, can access OVO’s ‘Charge Anytime’ add-on and receive 2,000 free miles upon sign-up.
This offer is available to both new and existing OVO customers.
First announced in July 2024, the partnership aligns with Volkswagen Group’s efforts to facilitate the transition to electric vehicles (EVs), the carmaker said. It added that creating a complete EV ecosystem is also a key component of this effort.
Volkswagen Group UK head of group fleet and insight operations Iker Lazzari said: “I am really pleased we are now able to offer fleet drivers the same convenient ‘EV package’ as retail buyers by extending the OVO energy partnership agreement to cover company car and salary sacrifice customers.
“Free miles, anniversary bonuses and access to one single energy cost are new and simple ways in which we can show our commitment to electrification and, importantly, to making the switch to EV both easy and enjoyable.”

By GlobalDataUnder the agreement, Volkswagen Group customers can charge their vehicles at home for 7p/kWh at any time.
Powered by Kaluza’s software, the Charge Anytime add-on is already said to have helped customers save more than £10m ($12.21m) since its 2022 launch by enabling charging during periods of lower carbon emissions and prices.
OVO EVs director Alex Thwaites said: “Together with Volkswagen Group, we are rewarding customers for making the switch to an EV. We look forward to extending our market-leading Charge Anytime to fleet drivers and helping more people on their decarbonisation journey, all while cutting costs.”
By extending its OVO partnership to include fleet and salary sacrifice customers, Volkswagen Group said it acknowledges the growing number of fleet customers adopting EVs.
Moreover, diesel and petrol car drivers can earn free EV miles through OVO Beyond, the UK’s first ‘Energy Savings Account,’ designed to help customers transition to EVs.
