Sun Motors, a UK vehicle marketplace that launched in mid-August, has formed a strategic partnership with The Car Buying Group in a bid to streamline vehicle sales for registered dealers.
The online platform, a registered trademark of News Group Newspapers, offers dealers enhanced visibility by connecting them with The Sun’s audience.
For a monthly subscription fee, dealers can leverage The Sun’s reach, including its affiliated brands like The Times, The Sunday Times, Virgin Radio UK, and talkSPORT, which together reach 75% of UK adults, according to a PAMCo/TGI Multibase survey from 2020.
With 81% of UK adults planning to buy a vehicle within the next year, Sun Motors provides a valuable opportunity for dealers to drive sales, the companies said in a press release.
Sun Motors says it maintains a fair marketplace by not offering sponsored listings, ensuring equal pricing and visibility for all dealers. The platform also enhances stock visibility through targeted advertising on social media and Google, the statement said.
Additionally, Sun Motors offers part-exchange services, with valuations powered by The Car Buying Group. If a dealer opts not to retain the part-exchange vehicle, The Car Buying Group will manage the disposal and pay the dealer £100 for each vehicle acquired through this process.
