Affordability is the most important factor when looking to purchase a new or used vehicle, according to a recent survey for online car finance provider Car Finance 247.
Two-thirds (66%) of survey respondents said affordability is the most important factor when deciding on the purchase of their next car; 46% rated fuel efficiency as the second most important consideration and the next two critical factors were the size of the vehicle and the cost of the car insurance.
Female drivers, who in 2012 preferred using finance to purchasing a car, put the cost of the insurance in the top three.
Just over one-sixth (17%) of survey respondents said that they plan to buy a new or used vehicle within the next six months.
A survey for Car Finance 247 in April found approximately one in five people would buy a celebrity’s used car.
